RIM PUR & R-RIM The RIM-procedure (reaction injection moulding) is similar to injection moulding. Using high pressure the liquid material is inserted in a closed form and reacts to a high tearproof and viscoplastic material which is applicable for parts of high technical quality. Even PUR-parts with small wall thickness which should possess high flexibility could be produced like that. More convincing attributes of RIM are a high ultimate strain, high elasticity in bending and impact resistance. Also HS-RIM (high speed RIM) and R-RIM (reinforced RIM) belong to our range of production. Density and hardness could also be varied almost unlimited.
